Originally from France, Jean-Philippe Guillo began studying piano at the age of four in his hometown before entering the Paris Conservatory of Music in the class of Pierre Sancan and Jean-Claude Pennetier.
After winning two unanimous prizes, in piano and chamber music, he perfected himself with other great artists such as Dimitri Bashkirov, Yevgeny Malinin, Jean-Bernard Pommier and François-René Duchable.
Laureate of national and international competitions, he is invited as soloist-concertist by orchestras such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Pays de Loire, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio-France, the Orchester National Bordeaux Aquitaine under the direction of Marc Soustrot , Jean-François Heisser, Paul Daniel or Christian Orosanu ...

Passionate about the repertoire of chamber music, he plays with prestigious partners such as François-René Dûchable, Roland Pidoux, Gérard Jarry, Roland Daugareil, Tasso Adamopoulos and Etienne Péclard.
He is also involved in the contemporary repertoire with Ligeti: Studies "Zauberlehrling" and "Arc en ciel", Christian LAUBA: "Blue Stream" and "Brazil sem fim" and François Rossé who dedicates his 7th sonata. These works are the subject of an archive recording.
In 2011, he founded the Duo Novelty with saxophonist Thomas Lachaize, offering a wide repertoire: classical music, American music of the thirties, Ragtime, ciné-concerts. He composed with Thomas Lachaize the music for the film "The Rink" by Charlie Chaplin (Festival Piano in Riom, Concerts of Midi in Rennes, Festival "Musics in the heart of Médoc") and for "The extraordinary adventures of Mr. West in the country of the Bolsheviks "by Lev Kulechov (" Spring of the Ciné-Concerts "Jean Vigo in Bordeaux).
