Bassist and composer Rémy Yulzari reinvents the role double bass as a solo instrument with multiple facets. Drawing on his own history, he created a personal style with a wide range of colors and styles based on improvisation and creativity. Rémy also uses the accordion, the melodica and the piano on stage. He has performed in prestigious concert halls in France, England, the United States, Israel, Brazil, Spain, Russia, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Lithuania and Serbia, and at music festivals such as the Festival d'Auvers- Sur-Oise, Festival of Prades Pablo Casals, International Musicals of the Graves, Festival of the Gulf and Festival of Black Périgord. Mr. Yulzari is the first bassist to have been accepted in the prestigious "Artist Diploma in Performance" program of the Juilliard School in New York.
Professor at the Orléans CRD, Rémy holds the Certificate of Aptitude (Master of Music Education) from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon. He is regularly invited to give master-classes and to teach during courses and academies of double bass, chamber music and klezmer music in Japan and throughout France. It is also found in programs dedicated to young audiences, such as "Loopino" at the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, or "Concerts de poche" in the north of France.
